The Administration
The inspiration for the Administration series of stories is a maxim of Chris Boucher, script editor of Blakes 7—There are no bad guys. There are no good guys. There are only better guys, and worse guys.
One of the worse guys is Val Toreth. In a world where torture is a legitimate part of the investigative process, he works for the Investigation and Interrogation Division .
One of the better guys is Keir Warrick, a corporate director. His small corporation, SimTech, is developing a 'sim' system which places users in a fully-immersive virtual reality.
Their world is the dark future dystopia of New London, where Europe is controlled by a totalitarian bureaucracy, which shares political power with powerful corporations. The oppressive government uses torture, violence and the various Divisions of the feared Department of Internal Security to maintain power. The corporations fight amongst themselves, using lethal force under the euphemism of 'corporate sabotage', uniting only to resist attempts by the Administration to extend its control over them.
The series follows Warrick and Toreth, and their families, friends and enemies as they struggle to survive and hope to prosper.
Oh, yes—and there is sex, and violence, and other things that upset the people who rate films. You may want to know that:
Most stories set in the Administration contain m/m or m/f sex scenes.
Many stories in the Administration contain consensual BDSM of varying degrees of severity.
Some stories contain non-consensual sex and/or violence.
Some stories contain 'issues of consent', such as a superior exploiting a subordinate, or other cases where full consent is in doubt.
Two stories contain references to child abuse.
Individual stories here do not have ratings or warnings (or 'spoilers') at the beginning. There is a separate warnings page for people who like that kind of thing.
There are three novels, three novellas and twenty-seven short stories. I strongly recommend reading the series in the order presented to the right—this is not quite the same as their time-line order. If you would like a taster of the Administration stories, then the first section of the novel 'Mind Fuck' makes a stand-alone short story, 'Virtual'.
I'm not currently writing more Administration stories, and the Mannazone mailing list is no longer functional. However, there is a Mannazone community at Livejournal. Any future announcements about the series will be made there.
And that's all, other than to say that I hope you enjoy the stories, and I'd be delighted to hear from you. The Stories

Blakes 7 is the property of the BBC, Terry Nation's estate, and/or Blakes7 Enterprises. Characters are used without permission, and without intent to profit from their use.
This in the index page to Manna's collection of Blakes 7 fanfiction: slash, het and gen. It includes virtually every Blakes 7 story I've completed, from earliest to latest, except for a few that are in zines or awaiting publication in zines.
If you've never heard of Blakes 7, that's your loss and you should go check out Hermit.org, one of the best Blakes 7 sites around. Or, for a comprehensive beginner's guide, try Betty's Guide to Blakes 7.
The fiction here is a mix of dark, light and occasionally plain silly. For some reason, my slash tends to turn out a lot chirpier than my het or gen. Perhaps it's that canonical Blakes 7 lends itself to depressing stories.
If you like these, you can also check out my original homoerotic fiction series.
Slash and Het Fic
A Beginner's Guide To Blakes 7 Slash is a not-entirely-serious look at slash from the characters' point of view.
Avon/Tarrant is my favourite Blakes 7 pairing. The '...And What Happened After' 4th series/PGP trilogy may be found at the Liberated archive, and also in the fiction archive at the Avon/Tarrant page.
Newly edited versions of all three stories, plus a sequel, 'Solitaire', are included in the truly gorgeous A/T zine Angelfood, published by Maverick Press in memory of Pat Jaquerie. Buy this zine; it rocks most awesomely.
The Flight Leaving Earth At Fifteen-Hundred... is a short Avon/Travis snippet that is probably attached to an entire AU. Fortunately for all concerned, I'm far too busy to write it.
Fly-By-Night may possibly be the world's only Tarrant/Tynus. It's also possibly the sweetest slash story I've ever written. I fondly dream that it will eventually spawn its own little Ty/Ta genre.
Mindswap is a 'what if' story. Ever wondered why Avon ran rather than walked into the trap on Terminal? Want to know why Cally's last words were 'Blake!' or why Avon was acting so strangely in series four? And just what was he thinking on Gauda Prime? Read on, and all will be answered...
Spit or Swallow is a...well, just read it. It's short.
The 7k Series
These very short stories were the first slash and het Blakes 7 fanfiction I wrote. They were originally an attempt to write one 7k fragment, including at least some sex, from the point of view of each major character. The series stalled out when the Tarrant fragments insisted on ballooning into larger stories. These are the five I did manage to complete, presented in the order I wrote them:
Finished: Avon
Hold: Blake
Bored: Vila
Silent: Cally
Practise: Dayna
Gen Fic
Closing The File is a PGP, and the first story of mine to be edited by the wonderful Donna. All credit to her for tightening up the flow of the story and the ruthless elimination of commas.
End Game is the first piece of fanfiction I ever posted to a list. It's part of my long-running if not particularly active campaign to save Anna Grant from her frequent fate as love-lorn Avon worshipper. Anna is a top-class minion—she deserves better than him.
Face in the Crowd is a minion's eye view of an event marking the end of an era.
Memories is a sequel to End Game.
Seasons was written in response to a list challenge to write something about Soolin's childhood in less than 500 words. Most of the places described in the story are real, although they were not part of my childhood.
